A father in Ireland sues Facebook over his daughter posting lewd photos.
Ever since a person sued McDonald’s years ago (and won the lawsuit) because they burnt themselves with a cup of coffee, lawsuits are popping up everywhere.
If you slip in a grocery store and fall you can sue the store.
If you slip and fall on a neighbors sidewalk after a snowstorm… yep, you can sue.
If you find a piece of hair in your food at Denny’s you can sue the restaurant and in some states the cook can be arrested for assault.
Assault? Seriously?
The problem I have with this father’s lawsuit (or any other frivolous lawsuit) is that he shows no responsibility for HIS actions.
Where was he when his daughter was posting his photos?
Where was the conversation with his daughter telling her that something like posting photos on a social networking site where almost 800 million people can see it was not a good thing?
He obviously has to know that at age twelve, his daughter’s body is changing. What happened to “the birds and the bees” conversation?
Parents today have NO accountability for their children nowadays. They blame the school system, the government and the bus driver as to why their children act like they do.
NOTE TO PARENTS: You birthed your children. They are YOUR responsibility.
On a bigger issue, I have a small social networking site and I have to take into account that there may be children who log on and pose as adults.
ULTIMATELY, it’s the responsibility of the parents of the child to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Be well…
I spend a lot of late nights thinking of things to ramble about. So... if you LUV what you see... CONTRIBUTE. Thanks...
