Crabs in a Barrel

In every day life we run across the “crabs in the barrel” mentality.

What is it?

It’s when a person or a group of people witness one person trying to get better in life or in their situation and the “crabs” try to pull that person right back into the barrel.

Then there is the “King” or “Queen crab”.

These are the worse because to your face they look like they won’t do any harm but behind your back they are ganging up the other “crabs” against that ONE crab who is sick and tired of living in the barrel.

We run into “crabs” everywhere we go; at work, at church, at home, our friends, even in the social networking realm, “crabs” surround us. You probably don’t know if they are a “crab” until they talk about someone trying to get out of the “barrel”.

If you are born to lead… then lead. It’s NOT okay to be just one in a crowd of people who act like they want the best for you but in the end they just want you to be just… like… them.

The question is… are you tired of being just one in the crowd of a whole bunch of “crabs”?

Get out of the barrel.

Be well…
